TNT 3D Construction, an advanced concrete printing and sustainable building solutions company, will receive a $300,000 grant to support the reuse of a 105,800-square-foot building in Zebulon.

Governor Josh Stein announced that the Rural Infrastructure Authority recently approved 15 grant requests under the state’s Building Reuse Program.

“Every investment we make in rural North Carolina enhances our state’s economic competitiveness and people’s lives,” said Governor Stein. “These local government grantees are receiving critical funding for infrastructure improvements that spur job creation and help their communities compete for future economic development wins.”

The company is expected to create 36 jobs with a private investment of $720,588.

“We’re proud to see Zebulon chosen for this investment,” said Mayor Jessica Harrison. “With support from the state and Wake County, we’re welcoming an innovative company that sees the potential here and wants to grow alongside our community.”

TNT Development plans to revolutionize construction with advanced 3D concrete printing and sustainable building solutions. With more than 20 years of experience in traditional housing, the company is now using automation and a vertically integrated model to deliver housing faster and more affordably while creating jobs and reducing environmental impact.

“We congratulate TNT Development on receiving this grant to expand its operations and workforce in Zebulon — a move that is good for the company and the local economy,” said Wake County Board of Commissioners Chair Don Mial. “We’re excited that this facility will use innovative technology to build much-needed affordable housing for families in our fast-growing community.”

The grant will support the creation of 36 new full-time jobs over the next 18 months, with a total of 60 full-time jobs within 36 months spanning advanced manufacturing, construction technology, engineering support and workforce training.

“Zebulon offers a strong workforce foundation, a commitment to skills training and a community that understands the value of manufacturing and construction careers,” said Tone Terrell, president of TNT Development. “As the home of our growing TNT Companies ecosystem, this expansion allows multiple operating subsidiaries to grow together while creating long-term career opportunities for local residents.”
